We are glad you have chosen our property and hope you will have a great time. A small note of importance thai you should know about. In consideration for others, this is a NON-SMOKING HOUSE. If you must, please go outside on the deck or the porch. There will be a $25.00 penalty fee for smoking indoors. Doe to the fact that the water supply is from a well there will also be a faint odor. This smell will go away after the water runs for a few minutes.

INFORMATION AND RENTAL AGREEMENT
PHONEImportant phone numbers are located on the refrigerator door and may be reached by telephone. The estate telephone number is 304-258-8852. The phone number FOR RENTERS, 304 258-8474, is to use in Berkeley Springs ONLY, so if you need to call long distance please use your phone card or call collect There is a caller ID box along with an answering machine, which will record your messages for you. You may give the number out to anyone in your party. Before your departure, please erase all of your personal messages from the answering machine and caller ID.
KITCHENYou are welcome to use all the things in the cabinets, however if you know that you may need certain items in excess, please bring them with you or pick them up at the local stores. These supplies are for emergency use (especially the cookies). Please help yourself to any of the soft drinks or you may choose some stuff from our MINI BAR. A bottle of wine. a 6 pack of beer, or a bottle of hard liquor is complimentary. Please see the sign on the shelf and make your donations so we can replace the alcohol for the next group. Trash should be collected into big trash bags before being taken out to the driveway on Mesner Rd. Only the trash inside the cans will be picked up on Wednesday mornings. PLEASE be considerate so others arriving will not have to look at leftover trash for a week.
LIVING ROOMFeeling like you are in Egypt? You may -ride the camels and admire King Tut. See him appearing in the window at night in multiple images. In case of young children, please remove ALL breakable objects. We have tried to make the house child-friendly but stylish as well. Please read, play, relax, or go into town (see our recommendations in the brochures under the phone). The telescope is also available to you for STARGAZING. This is a highly recommended activity for everyones enjoyment.
BATHROOMYou will Sad the towels in the linen closet. The water supply provided by a well At first you may smell a peculiar scent, but after running the tap a few minutes this smell will disappear. Do not panic! The water supply is chlorinated by state ]aw. However, we do recommend that you remove all silver or custom jewelry before washing. The water may tarnish your fine jewelry. Under the sink there is an Emergency First-aid Kit. Please use it if necessary and put it back for others that may be in need.
BEDROOMSWe do not make the beds because we do not know how much and which sleeping arrangements wa may need. Clean blankets and sheets are in the bedroom closets in a green or plastic bag. Each bedroom is respectively-named for it's bed size. Anything you find will also fit the corresponding size of the pull-out sofas in the living room. Roll away and inflatable beds can be used for additional guests. Please be careful if moving furniture. Our hardwood floors will easily be scratched and you will be charged accordingly for repairs.Since you have the option to clean after yourself, yon will find the washer and dryer in the basement to do your laundry and all the other cleaning supplies are in the kitchen under the sink. If yon choose not to do so, we will keep your cleaning deposit for the cleaning service. However, we must still recommend that you place ALL the dirty laundry in the white bin. Please let us know at the time yon call for check-in instructions about this so we can prepare to do the necessary actions before the next guests arrive.
If you have happened to damage ANYTHING, please leave a note along with the approximate replacement cost. If you do not know it, just ask us.
WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RETURN YOUR CLEANING DEPOSIT if yon have unfinished laundry out, dishes out on the counter, trash in the cans, sticky counter tops, sinks not wiped dean, stained carpet, etc. Our wonderful helper Judy Pierce is in charge of checking the house after your departure and we will have to reimburse her for her time in case cleaning or replacement needs to be done. In other words, please leave the house as you found it or would like to have found it. You may find this detailed cleaning checklist helpful in finishing this task.
